Who We Are

The Rwanda Institute of Mediation (RIM) is the professional institute for mediation in Rwanda. It exists to organise the profession, set standards of entry and practice, and make quality mediation available to individuals, families, businesses and institutions.

Mediation is a voluntary process in which an independent and impartial mediator helps disputing parties communicate and reach their own agreement. RIM’s role is to protect that process: through training, admission, ethics, discipline and public information.
